Stadium Information:

Anfield has significantly improved with the completion of the new Anfield Road Stand, which is where away fans are now located.

The Away Section (Anfield Road Stand)

  • Location: Blocks AL9 and AL8.
  • Wheelchair Positions: There are 24 bays located pitchside in front of the visiting supporters.
  • Ambulant Fans: Liverpool explicitly warns that the upper tiers are very steep. If you have limited mobility but aren't a wheelchair user, ensure your ticket is for the lower tier.

Facilities & Access

Entry: Away fans enter via Entrance Q & R. You must approach from 97 Avenue (the side near the Hillsborough Memorial); there is currently no access from the Arkles Lane side for visitors.

Changing Places: There are two--one in the Kop and one in the Main Stand Lower. If you need these, alert a "Steward in a Blue Bib" (Accessibility Crew).

Medical Bags: Anfield has a strict A5 bag policy. If you need a larger bag for medical equipment/oxygen, you must email disability@liverpoolfc.com at least 48 hours before the game to get a "Medical Bag Tag."

Travel & Parking

Drop-off Point: Use Gilman Street (just past the Club Store).

Parking: Use the Stanley Park Car Park. It's tarmacked, wheelchair friendly, and a 5-minute "roll" to the stadium.

Audio Commentary: Headsets are available. You need to provide your Supporter ID to the DLO in advance so a steward can bring the headset directly to your seat.

"Blue Bib" stewards: they are a dedicated team to help with accessibility needs.

Anfield is a Cashless stadium

Travelling by train?
The new Assisted Travel Lounge at Liverpool Lime St Station is strategically placed to be the first point of contact for passengers arriving at Liverpool Lime Street station.

Liverpool Lime Street "Assisted Travel Lounge" Features:

Location: Directly on the main station concourse (near the ticket office/travel centre).

Opening Hours: 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM daily.

Staffed Welcome Desk: Unlike a standard waiting room, this is permanently staffed by a team trained specifically in disability assistance.

Sensory Nook: A dedicated, quiet area with calmed lighting and acoustic protection for passengers who find the hustle and bustle of a major terminus overwhelming.

Integrated Seating: All seating areas are designed with "gaps" and flexible layouts so wheelchair users can sit with their companions rather than in a separate aisle.

Changing Places Facility: This is the "gold standard" of accessible toilets, featuring a ceiling hoist, height-adjustable adult-sized changing bench, and plenty of space for two carers.

Finding the Lounge

The lounge is located on the main concourse, specifically positioned between Platform 7 and the main Ticket Office. If you enter via the iconic arched main entrance on Lime Street, you will find it situated to your left as you head toward the platforms.

  • From the Blue Badge Drop-off: If you are dropped off at the designated point on Skeltis Street (near the short-stay car park), enter through the side entrance. The lounge is a direct, level-access walk of approximately 50 meters from this entrance.
  • From the Taxis: The main taxi rank is on the Skelhorne Street side. From there, enter the station and head across the concourse toward the Ticket Office; the lounge's bright, modern glass frontage is highly visible.
