CPFC DSA Newsletter September 2022

Firstly I would say we were all shocked and saddened by the death of Her Majesty The Queen. All of us on the Committee would like to send our condolences to all her family. God save the King.

It's good to know that the club plan to commemorate the Queen's life at the Chelsea match.

Well here goes but what can one say about a Month with no first team football?

Thankfully I did manage to get my football and Palace fix, by attending two of the Women's Games. Firstly against Coventry at Bromley and then when they took on Southampton at Selhurst Park, where they broke a club record with 1685 spectators. Well done Ladies.

At least six of our players got international call ups so hopefully that will keep them match fit congratulations to:

Wilfred Zaha For Ivory Coast

Marc Guehi for England

Malcolm Ebiowei for England Under 20

Cheick Doucoure for Mali

Jordan Ayew for Ghana

Joachim Andersen for Denmark

I hope like myself you are all looking forward to the Chelsea match, where the DSA will have a table in the Fanzone prior to the game. So if you have any questions or suggestions for us please come along for a chat.

Also if you know of any supporters who would benefit from joining the DSA please get them to come along and join.

On a final note I would like to thank The Club for the email they sent out about the DSA. As a result of this we have managed to recruit a substantial amount of new members and the Committee look forward to growing Your Association a lot more.

After all we are “ STRONGER TOGETHER”
